Job Description

๐ŸŽฎ Looking for a Long-Term Roblox YouTube Video Editor + Shorts Editor (Unpaid Initially / 90% Revenue Share) Position: Roblox YouTube Video Editor & Short-Form Content Editor Content: Roblox Gaming, Funny Moments, Challenges, and Entertainment Payment: Currently unpaid โ€” 90% of agreed channel revenue once monetised Experience: Beginners welcome! Commitment: Flexible, long-term collaboration preferred About My Channel Hey! I'm currently restarting my Roblox YouTube channel completely from scratch, and I'm looking for a creative, reliable, and passionate editor who would like to grow alongside me. My goal is to build an entertaining, personality-driven Roblox channel that captures the fun, humour, nostalgia, and creativity of classic Roblox YouTube content while still appealing to modern audiences. I'm heavily inspired by creators such as: DanTDM โ€” entertaining commentary, reactions, and storytelling. InquisitorMaster โ€” funny moments, personality-driven entertainment, and expressive editing. ItsFunneh / KREW โ€” group humour, comedic timing, and energetic gameplay. Stampy โ€” wholesome entertainment, storytelling, and personality. PopularMMOs โ€” funny challenges, entertaining interactions, and memorable moments. I don't want to copy these creators directly. Instead, I want to combine the best aspects of their content while building my own unique identity and editing style. I'm looking for someone who understands that a great gaming video isn't just about flashy effects. It's about making people laugh, keeping them entertained, and giving them a reason to come back. What You'll Be Editing 1. Long-Form Roblox YouTube Videos You'll be responsible for turning raw Roblox gameplay footage into engaging, entertaining YouTube videos. Editing style I'm looking for: Funny GIFs and memes: Add relevant GIFs, reaction images, and memes to enhance genuinely funny moments. Sound effects: Use comedic sound effects to emphasise jokes, unexpected moments, fails, reactions, and surprises. Clean cuts: Remove unnecessary pauses, awkward silences, repetitive sections, and moments that don't contribute to the entertainment. Zooms and visual effects: Use zoom-ins, zoom-outs, screen shakes, and other simple effects when they improve a joke or reaction. Captions and text: Add subtitles, funny text, or highlighted words at appropriate moments. Music: Use background music that fits the mood, whether that's funny, intense, dramatic, or relaxing. Comedic timing: Give jokes enough space to land instead of constantly overwhelming viewers with effects. Audience retention: Keep the video moving and entertaining without making it feel overly rushed or overstimulating. Important: I want the videos to feel natural, enjoyable, and personality-driven. Not every second needs an effect. Sometimes a well-timed cut or sound effect is much funnier than excessive editing. I'd like the content to have that classic Roblox YouTube feeling while still being polished enough for modern YouTube. 2. YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels I'm also looking for someone who can help turn funny and interesting moments from longer Roblox videos into short-form content. The goal is to help more people discover the channel and potentially become long-form viewers. For short-form videos, I'd like: Funny clips, fails, reactions, and memorable moments from gameplay. Vertical 9:16 formatting for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels. Engaging openings that immediately show viewers why the clip is worth watching. Captions that are easy to read and emphasise important moments. Sound effects, zooms, memes, and GIFs when appropriate. Clean pacing that makes sense even to someone who hasn't watched the full video. Short videos that encourage viewers to check out the main channel naturally. You wouldn't necessarily need to create completely new content for Shorts. Ideally, we'd repurpose entertaining moments from the long-form videos to save time. Short-form editing would be a bonus if you're comfortable with it, but I'm happy to discuss what workload is realistic. My Approach to Working Together I want to be very clear about something: I understand that editing takes time, especially when someone is working for free. Since I'm restarting the channel from scratch, I currently don't have a budget to pay an editor upfront. Because of that: I will not rush you or expect unrealistic deadlines. We can agree on flexible deadlines that work around your schedule. I understand you may have school, work, personal commitments, or other projects. I'll provide clear instructions, footage, and references whenever possible. I'm open to your creative suggestions and feedback. I don't expect professional-level editing from beginners. I value communication, honesty, and reliability more than speed. If you need a break or cannot continue, I'd appreciate knowing rather than being left without an update. I want this to be a positive collaboration where we can both improve our skills. Payment and Revenue Sharing My intention is to give the editor 90% of the channel revenue earned once the channel starts making money. I understand that asking someone to work for free is a big commitment, so I want the editor to benefit substantially if the channel succeeds. The proposed arrangement would be: Before monetisation: The position is completely unpaid. Once monetised: The editor would receive 90% of the revenue covered by our agreement. My share: I would retain the remaining 10%. We would agree in writing on exactly which income sources count, when payments are made, and how the arrangement works before beginning ongoing work. I cannot guarantee that the channel will become monetised or generate any revenue. This is an opportunity to collaborate on growing something from the beginning, not a promise of future earnings. I'm offering this because I want someone who contributes significantly to the channel's growth to be properly rewarded if it becomes successful. Who I'm Looking For You don't have to be an expert or professional editor. I'm looking for someone who: Enjoys Roblox and gaming content. Understands or is interested in funny YouTube editing. Can use editing software such as CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, or similar. Knows how to use memes, GIFs, sound effects, zooms, and cuts effectively. Is interested in developing their editing skills. Can communicate if they are busy or need more time. Enjoys creative collaboration. Is potentially interested in growing with the channel long-term. Previous experience is not required. If you're a beginner who wants real projects for your portfolio, you're absolutely welcome to apply. What I Can Offer Although I cannot currently offer guaranteed payment, I can provide: Credit for your work in video descriptions. Permission to use your edits in your portfolio, subject to agreeing on what footage can be shared. Creative freedom within the channel's overall style. Flexible deadlines. Clear communication and feedback. The possibility of a long-term collaboration. A proposed 90% share of agreed channel revenue once earned. How to Apply If you're interested, please send me: Your editing experience: Beginners are welcome. You don't need a professional portfolio. Previous edits: If you have any Roblox, Minecraft, gaming, or funny-moment edits, I'd love to see them. Editing software: What program do you use? Short-form editing: Would you also be comfortable making YouTube Shorts, TikToks, and Instagram Reels? Availability: Roughly how much editing would you realistically be comfortable doing? Your preferred editing style: Tell me how you'd make a Roblox video entertaining! We can start with a small editing project to see whether our creative styles work well together before considering a longer-term arrangement. My main goal is to create funny, memorable Roblox videos, rebuild my channel from scratch, and find an editor who genuinely enjoys the process. I'm not expecting instant results or overnight success. I'm interested in building something steadily with someone who shares that enthusiasm. Thanks for reading, and feel free to reach out if you're interested!
