Editor - Feature Film (Psychological Drama)

Details: Psycological Drama. A woman brings her struggling husband to a remote retreat she believes can save him, but as its influence over them grows, the line between healing and control begins to blur, and she's forced to confront the one person she's always avoided: herself. Project status: Principal photography wrapped September 2026 on location in Mammoth Lakes, CA. Pickups are scheduled for October 2026. An assembly cut will be completed by the end of October; the editor will have full access to all footage. Collaboration with the assembly editor is welcome but not required. Responsibilities: -Build the director's cut with the director from the assembly and dailies -Integrate October pickup footage -Prepare temp-mixed cuts for private feedback screenings and revise from notes -Deliver picture lock - Prepare turnovers at lock (AAF/XML/EDL, reference picture, VFX and ADR lists) Compensation: This is a profit-participation position with no upfront payment. Compensation includes backend points in the film's net profits, defined in a written deal memo, and "Edited by" screen credit. The film is being prepared for a 2027–28 festival run.

Requirements: -Narrative feature editing credits or substantial long-form narrative experience -Strength with performance-driven, dialogue-heavy material and deliberate pacing -Own editing system (Avid, Premiere or Resolve) capable of handling feature-length media
