🎥 Amateur Video Editor Wanted — Build Your Portfolio With Us!

What's up creatives! We're Vibes by Vision, a new social organization building community for creatives across different disciplines. We recently threw an event centered on supporting local musical artists, and we captured a ton of great footage that now needs an editor's touch. The project: - 12 short podcast-style interviews (~3 min each, multiple camera angles to sync/cut between) - 8 "mic drop" performance clips — artists singing with a mic hanging from the ceiling, styled for social - 1 recap/promo video pulling highlights from the event for our Instagram and TikTok What it's for: - A recap/promo video for our Instagram and TikTok - Individual edits the artists can use for their own portfolios and social pages What we're looking for: An editor who's building their skills, portfolio, and reputation and wants real footage to work with. This is a great project for someone leveling up their short-form editing — multicam cutting, pacing, captions/text, music sync. What you'll get: - Paid opportunity (see below) + full credit/tag on all published edits - A tangible portfolio piece with real client-style deliverables - A written recommendation/testimonial from us for future gigs - Early relationship with a growing creative org — more paid work likely as we scale Compensation: We're a brand-new, service-centered organization — we don't charge artists or community members for our events at this time, which means our budget is genuinely limited. - Comfortable editing short-form vertical video for Instagram Reels and TikTok (pacing, hooks, captions/text overlays, trending audio/music sync) - Experience cutting multicam footage — able to sync and switch between multiple camera angles smoothly - Basic color correction and audio leveling/cleanup (interview and live-performance audio can be uneven) - Familiarity with any standard editing software (Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, etc.) — no specific tool required - Reliable communication and ability to meet a soft deadline (this is a volunteer/portfolio collab, so we need someone who'll follow through) - A portfolio or sample reel showing prior short-form edits (school projects, personal content, or past collabs all count — doesn't need to be professional work) - No formal degree or certification required — this is explicitly an entry-level/beginner-friendly opportunity
