Job Description
The Company & Role:
We're looking for a talented, reliable video editor to take on monthly long-form work as we grow.
We’re a full service YouTube production company working almost exclusively with financial professionals (financial advisors, financial planners, wealth managers, retirement specialists etc.) to make engaging talking-head videos that convert.
We drill down into each of our client’s ideal customer avatar, then build a strategy and create videos that connect with that specific type of client. We’re focused on creating genuine lead-generating videos for our clients.
This means that our videos are focused on breaking down high-level finance concepts and delivering that information in an easily digestible way that appeals to that 35-65 year-old audience. Simple, clean and creative - our audience isn’t retained by overedited videos.
We're looking for an editor for a long-term working relationship, someone who can edit independently, communicate well, and grow with the company.
The Videos:
Long-form talking-head YouTube videos (7-15 minutes usually).
Teleprompter-scripted, built for retention and lead generation rather than flashy cuts.
You’ll have A-roll (talking head footage) and assets provided, plus access to the video script if that helps. We’ll need a confident, clean, conversationally paced final video back.
Videos will need light B-roll (client specific usually, not stock), accompanying graphics & data screens at the right times, and occasional motion graphics but nothing heavy. 99% of videos won’t need music.
The Details:
Before founding the company I was a lead editor myself, so essentially I'm looking for someone to match my own quality of work.
I’ll usually edit each client’s first video, then provide that project file for editors to follow (premiere pro). But in time, we’d like to have an editor of a quality that we can give new clients to immediately.
We need an editor who can work independently without handholding, who can work based on established styles but can use their own initiative to know where a video could use extra creativity.
Specifics:
Rate: £160 to £210 per video, paid monthly. Rate will be flexible for higher effort/longer runtime videos.
We’ll send you work throughout the month (volume may vary slightly at the start) and you’ll invoice at the end of each month, which we’ll pay using your preferred method.
Volume: 4 videos per month per client, so the better your work the more you’ll be assigned (i.e. 3 clients assigned to you = around 12 videos per month = around £2,200/month)
Software: Premiere Pro preferred (but others accepted)
Start: August 2026. We'll get back to a few strong candidates, run a small paid test edit with them and whoever performs well can move straight into live client work.
If this sounds like you, DM with:
Your video links
Your location
Your favourite film
Your editing setup
Your general availability/working hours
I will try my best to get back to everyone but please bare with me if it takes a while, thank you!
Requirements
What we're looking for:
- Strong narrative/pacing instinct. Not just robotic cutting.
- Understanding spacing with graphics, font selection and how to direct the viewer's eyes.
- Comfortable working from a project file/asset base and template established on a first edit, then maintaining that style consistently across future videos
- Reliable turnaround and communication. We need to trust you with the workload. If we consistently have to chase you for edits, we’ll just look elsewhere.
- Strong, fast internet connection (for downloading client files)
- Experience with talking-head + b-roll long-form content
- Overlap with UK timezone (South Africa etc. preferred - but global applications considered)
