Hiring Video Editors

You will be editing long-form YouTube videos (10 to 45 minutes) and repurposing them into high-retention YouTube Shorts. Your work will directly impact the growth of our clients' channels. Specific tasks include editing raw footage into clean, engaging long-form videos, cutting long-form content into 3 to 5 Shorts per video, adding captions, subtitles, and text overlays, syncing background music and sound effects, colour grading and visual enhancement, adding B-roll, transitions, and motion graphics where needed, and delivering files in the correct format and resolution for YouTube upload. Work Details: This is a remote, freelance position. The workload starts at 4 to 8 videos per month and scales up based on performance. Payment is per video or on a retainer basis, open to discussion. Turnaround time expected is 48 to 72 hours per deliverable.

You should have 1 or more years of video editing experience, a strong portfolio with at least 2 to 3 YouTube or Shorts samples, proficiency in any of the following tools: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut, a good understanding of what makes Shorts perform well (strong hooks, pacing, captions), ability to meet deadlines consistently, good communication in English, and a reliable internet connection with your own editing setup. Good to Have: Experience with YouTube SEO or thumbnail creation, familiarity with trending Shorts formats and hooks, and experience working with content creators or a marketing agency are all a plus.
