Lead Video Editor & Content Strategist (Short-Form Specialist)

Role Overview: We are looking for a high-level Video Editor to transform raw, multi-cam studio footage from our podcast into a viral content machine. Your primary goal is to extract "gold" from long-form interviews to promote our iOS app across YouTube Shorts and Instagram ReelsYou aren't just cutting video; you are engineering "hooks" and "retention." Key Responsibilities: Motion Graphics & Branding: Design and produce a Cinematic Show Open (Intro) and Outro. This should blend studio footage with high-end motion graphics of the looch interface. Long-Form Mastering: Edit 45–60 minute multi-cam interviews into a polished, cinematic YouTube experience (color grading, sound design, and pacing). Sonic Branding: Selection of high-quality, licensed music and sound design to create a recognizable "audio signature" for the podcast. Lower Thirds & Assets: Create branded overlays, guest name-cards, and sponsored product feature call-outs that look integrated into the professional studio footage. Viral Clipping: Identify 5–10 high-impact segments per episode for short-form distribution. Hook Engineering: Craft the first 3 seconds of every clip to ensure maximum "scroll-stop" potential. Dynamic Captions: Create high-engagement, on-brand captions (not generic templates) that emphasize key financial/business terms. Visual Storytelling: Use B-roll and stock footage. Platform Optimization: Tailor edits for specific algorithms (e.g., specific safe zones for IG Reels vs. YT Shorts). Required Skills: Software: Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve. Expertise in After Effects for motion graphics is a major plus. The "Ear": The ability to listen to a 1-hour conversation and intuitively know which 60 seconds will go viral. Retention Focus: Knowledge of "Pacing" (using zooms, cuts, and sound effects to keep a viewer’s attention every 2 seconds). Preferred Experience: Experience working with podcasts. A portfolio that shows "before and after" of raw studio footage turned into high-performing short-form clips. Speed: What is your turnaround time for (1) Full Episode and (10) Viral Clips?
